Salma Mohamed is a divorcee and single mother of 3 children. She is …years old and educated up to secondary school. She is a Muslim by faith. She is a sole breadwinner for her family and sells clothes at her doorstep for a living. She lives in Kapsoya estate in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.

Salma’s project for which she sought help was a daycare. Salma opened a daycare in the city to help support families that need care. Her initiative is not only inspiring, it is changing other women’s lives by allowing them to pursue their careers.
2. Lydiah Amisi
Lydiah Amisi is a single mother and a Christian. She is a Christian. She hails from E’mmabwi in Luanda Division Vihiga County. She is the breadwinner for her family and earns her living as a casual worker in a business firm in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. She lives in Soy, Uasin Gishu County. In her struggles, Lydiah relies on her cattle for her survival. Her project is to increase the cattle so she can help her child complete school.

3. Rose Kiptoo
Rose Kiptoo is a widow with 5 children. Although she is educated and works as a teacher in a local school, since the passing on of her husband she struggles to fend for her family’s needs. She comes from Elgeyo/Marakwet County and stays in Kapsoya estate in Uasin Gishu County. She used Wiso support to invest in a small business to help supplement her income.

4. Lilian Oburi
Lilian Oburi is a widow with 4 children who depend on her. Her husband died 7 years ago and she finds it difficult to feed and educate her children. Her main source of livelihood is a grocery shop in Kapsoya estate, Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. She lives in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. Lilian was nominated to receive support from WISO to help boost her kiosk to help boost her income to support her family. Below is Lilian’s small kiosk. Your support to Lilian will go a long way to ensuring her children are raised with dignity.

5. Spence Chemutai
Spence Chemutai is a single mother of two children. She is the breadwinner for her family and earns her living as a house help in a village in Ziwa, Soy, Uasin Gishu County. She received support to help her start a project that can help sustain her basic needs.

JEANNINE
Jeannine, in her late forties, became homeless after a car accident that left her with a massive brain injury. She was unable to work due to her injuries. She lost her home when the bills became immense. We met her standing in front of Walmart with a sign asking for help. We have been helping her but need more donations to maintain the help. Here are her words. “My husband and I have been homeless for 18 months. We struggle day by day to keep a roof over our heads. I know it’s God that has carried us for the past 18 months. He puts angels in our lives. I would just like to say homelessness is a growing issue. We are not bad people we are just in a bad situation. You don’t realize how close your next-door neighbor could be to being homeless. And it is very frightening, but God puts special people in our lives. There is an organization called ANGEL COP. They are looking to end homelessness within the next five years (in Greenville, NC). “Daily I just ask the Lord to guide and direct us, protect us, and keep us safe.” Please send us at least one angel for us to get what we need. And so far we have been able to stay off the streets for the last six months due to god and good people. But people must realize we didn’t set out to be homeless. People tend to take one thing for granted, and it was pointed out to me and it is that Jesus himself was homeless. He did not have a home. He went from place to place. And would you look at Jesus the same way you look and me? There’s a solution to this growing problem. The public needs to be aware of this growing problem and their next-door neighbor could be the next person becoming homeless.” Jeannine was happy to learn about our organization and hopes that we can sustain ourselves to help more people in her situation.
6. Peninah Atieno
Penina Atieno is a single mother of 5 children. She is 43 years old and educated up to secondary school. She is a Christian. She left her marriage with her children due to physical abuse and neglect by her previous husband. She struggles to run a village kiosk to feed her children, pay their school fees, and cater to other needs. She lives in a village in Luanda, Vihiga County, Kenya. Pennina received support to help increase her chicken project so she can help support paying tuition for her 5 children.
7. Rhoda Khadesa
Rhoda Khadesais a mother of 3 children who has experienced domestic violence from her husband who is unemployed and unable to cater to family needs. She is 48 years old and educated up to secondary school. She is a Christian. She fends for her family by running a local hairdressing kiosk in Moi’s Bridge, Trans Nzoia County. She lives in Mois Bridge, Trans-Nzoia County, Kenya. Rhoda received support to help her buy products for her beauty salon to help increase her income. It is difficult for her to catch up as the salon business is not doing so well.
8. Grace Wangoi
Grace Wangoi is a divorcee who left her matrimonial home because of domestic violence. She is a single mother of two a boy and a girl. A girl has a heart condition that she always needs medical attention every month and she is disabled. She peddles second-hand clothes (mitumba) for survival. She lives in Nakuru, Nakuru County, Kenya. Wangoi received Wiso’s support to help her settle into her new home. She continues to struggle with basic needs.
9. Beninah Nathan Ambasa
Beninah Nathan Ambasa is a widow who is survived with one child. She is … years old and educated up to …….. school. She is a Christian. Her husband died 10 years ago. She is the sole breadwinner for her family. Her livelihood depends entirely on a small tailoring kiosk in a slum in Eldoret West, Uasin Gishu County. She lives in poverty in Uasin Gishu County.
10. Sarah Korir
Sarah Korir is a single mother of 6 children and a breadwinner for her family. She is … years old and educated up to…school. She is a Christian. Her marriage ended because of physical abuse and domestic violence which led to divorce. She is a casual laborer in an office in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County, and struggles to make ends meet. She lives in Uasin Gishu County.
11. Judith Abisagi
Judith Abisagi is a widow with 5 children. She is 52 years old and educated up to secondary school. Her husband passed on 19 years ago. Her 19-year marriage life was also characterized by domestic violence. She is the sole breadwinner of her family and derives her livelihood from the market vending of different agricultural commodities. She lives in Muhoroni town, Kisumu County, Kenya.
12. Jennifer Muchemo
Jeniffer Muchemo is a widow of 5 children. She is … years old and educated up to …school. She is a Christian. Her husband died 20 years ago. She is the sole breadwinner for her family, serves in the church as a Sunday school teacher, and struggles to take care of her children. She lives in Langas estate in Uasin Gishu County.

Catherine Muhindi is a single mother of 2 children and the sole breadwinner for her family and works as a casual laborer in a hospital in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. She hails from Tiriki in Vihiga County and lives in Kenya-Re in Kapsoya, Uasin Gishu County.
